I bought this goal as replacement of a fifteen-year old version, which has always been great clarity, resolution and contrast. However, I have the VR function because it was not me, but with a VR version because of problems with vignettting Go FX (full frame) cameras. As I shoot mainly with a D700 FX, I just used my old non-VR Lens fantastic portraits and produced for many years with him.

Incidentally, for those who have the sharpness at fully open aperture miracle - the goal is simply amazing. Great bokeh, super sharp.
