Onkyo TX-SR607 7.2-Channel A/V Surround Home Theater Receiver

Unzipped this baby last night and found the connection and the installation be as easy. Replacing an aging Pioneer VSX-21 that I never quite got used to. Love the Audessy 2EQ functionality on this device. I have the automatic speaker set-up was very simple (my daughter was tickled by the test tones, sends). The problem was with the subwoofer will be strengthened through, but easily fixed. I have not tried the camera without the auto-volume or Auto-EQ funtion, so you can not compare it yet. CNET Review really, but so far I have really enjoyed being able to hear everything without blasting my wife out of the house!

Someone mentioned that he did not HDMI pass-through, but it is incorrrect. It does. You need the switch to return to the setup menu, but it's there. The upscaling non-HD television is something to be desired, but otherwise I think it actually improved my view from my FIOS HD box.

My only negative so far, if you call it, like interface is not XM, Sirius alone. With the merger, I hope that this is not a big problem, but it's not really a big negative impact on all for me. I was in this model compared to the Denon 1909, but after reading all those stories about how difficult it was to set up and to 71 U.S. dollars more from the field, the choice is really not rocket science.
