For me this was an upgrade from a 720p, DLP (Mitsubishi HD1000U). The first impression is very positive, based on about 10 hours to view and edit. Very quiet, and many are running in the clear on low power. The high resolution (1920 X 1080) is close to a typical 2k digital cinema, so my 145 "diagonal screen viewed from about 15 yards away, offers a very beautiful film. That said, the increased resolution 720p is not an extra step, it So is the beginning and end of all the lamps of quality. Specifically, the base material is fed, what really is the quality. Many HD feed (cable or satellite) can not address the inherent resolution of the projector, so that currently only Blu - Ray is the material most detailed source of very high resolution (and not all discs, depending on the original mastering, etc..) black levels are comparable with my DLP projector before, so if you obsessed with the need Pitch Black star should choose a more expensive LCD or DLP projector, the longer approach to those situations in jet black. I do not care too much about this, remind myself that even with film projectors in Jet Black, disappears when the screen so that the HD20 is better, in fact the true cinema experience (so to why a projector is less is more streamline!). is at this level (<$ 1,000), it is a big setback for the corner to think in terms difficult to image quality. Finally, I suggest you check www.avsforum.com extended discussion on this topic, and spotlights rivals.
